At To Ong Adventure, the Putaleng Lai Chau journey covers a 34km route over 3 days and 4 nights. A group usually has around 16 members, with a support ratio of 1:2, meaning every two participants are cared for and guided closely by one tour guide.

Below is the detailed itinerary designed exclusively by To Ong Adventure:

Day 1: Departure from Hanoi

  • All passengers will be picked up by To Ong’s transfer vehicle at the meeting points clearly stated in the trekking tour email. The group travels to Sapa.
  • Note: To Ong Adventure can provide flexible support if you need to be picked up at Noi Bai Airport before 22:00.

Day 2: Sapa – Ho Thau, Lai Chau

  • 5:00: The group stops in Sapa and has breakfast.
  • 6:30: Travel for about 2 hours to the Ho Thau trailhead.
  • 8:30: Meet the local porters, listen to the briefing, and begin the Putaleng Lai Chau trek.
  • 12:00: Set up a shelter and tents for lunch, then rest for about 1 hour.
  • 13:00: Continue toward Ho Thau Camp at an altitude of 2,600m.
  • 17:00: After several hours of trekking, enjoy a beautiful sunset view at Ho Thau Camp.
  • 16:00: Rest and prepare for dinner.

Day 3: Ho Thau Camp – Putaleng Summit – Ho Thau Camp

  • 6:00: Wake up and have breakfast.
  • 7:00: Start the second trekking day on more challenging trails, passing through a towering bamboo forest for around 3 hours.
  • 10:00: The group conquers Putaleng Peak in Lai Chau at 3,049m. Take photos together to capture the moment.
  • 12:00: Return to Ho Thau Camp to rest and have lunch.
  • 13:00: Descend toward Ta Leng, cross a majestic old-growth forest, and reach the campsite area together.

Day 4: Ho Thau Camp – Ta Leng Commune – Sapa

  • 6:00: Wake up, watch the sunrise over the high mountains, and prepare for breakfast.
  • 7:00: Continue descending toward Ta Leng Commune.
  • 11:30: At the foot of the mountain, the transfer vehicle picks up the group and takes everyone to the center of Ta Leng Commune for a local-style lunch.
  • 12:30: Travel back to Sapa.
  • 16:00: Experience a Red Dao herbal bath, helping relax joints and muscles after the long trek.
  • 18:00: Enjoy dinner with Sapa specialties, chat, and share stories.
  • 20:30: Visit Sapa night market and buy souvenirs.
