1. Where Is Ta Giang?
Ta Giang is a small hamlet in Thanh Son Commune, Khanh Son District, Khanh Hoa Province. It is home to the Raglai people and to the resonant sound of the Chapi instrument. Here, trekkers can not only immerse themselves in the simple life of local people, but also admire masterpieces of nature. The 20km trekking route follows a stream up to hills around 1,000m high. The trail is not too challenging, with a difficulty rating of level 1. Two days and one night are enough to fully experience the beauty of this land. You can trek Ta Giang at any time of year, though the dry season is still the most convenient.

A gentle, quiet stream:
From the first steps, trekkers are welcomed by the stream that marks the boundary between Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa. The water is clear enough to reveal small pebbles and schools of fish swimming freely. The murmuring sound of the stream feels like soft music that relaxes the mind. The stream leads you through farms and Raglai banana forests. If you visit in the right season, you may even be treated to products from the mountains and forest.

The deeper you go into Ta Giang forest, the more carefully you need to step, because both sides of the stream are lined with bright white stones of many sizes. The deeper the water becomes, the more it turns a distinctive jade green. There are also huge rocks resting quietly in the shade where you can stop for a break. Under the bright sunshine of the coastal region, nothing feels better than dipping into cool water. The stream provides ideal moisture for moss and lichens to grow. They stretch out and cling to rocks and tall tree trunks, filling the space with green. Golden sunlight piercing through the leaves makes that green even more vivid and joyful.

Green follows green without end. Mother Nature once again proves herself an outstanding artist when summer arrives. At that time, cogon grass blooms white across the hills. It is a painting with green as the background, skillfully touched with pure white. It is a scene that lets you feel the wind brushing your hair and the clean scent of grass and trees.

At night, the whole world sinks into quiet darkness. All you may hear is the rustle of wind and the soft sounds of insects. In contrast to the darkness around you, you and your group gather together to sing, play music, and enjoy grilled meat, roasted corn, and bamboo-tube rice. Sitting on the wooden shelter and looking up, the whole sky comes into view. The night sky is vast, with moonlight and countless stars shining down on the earth.
