In particular, in late April, after rainy days, one-leaf orchids take advantage of the conditions to grow and bloom. True to their name, these flowers have only one leaf. Hikers are lucky if they come across these small, simple orchid blossoms, because they bloom for only 5-7 days before fading and giving way to leaves and seed pods. This is an extremely rare flower, with only around 80 species found in tropical regions around the world. In Vietnam, only 5-8 species have been discovered.
