The route to the campsite on the Ta Giang hiking tour:

To reach Nha Cua Rung, hikers need to cover 20km through forest and across streams. The journey begins in Ta Giang village, passing simple small homes before climbing toward hills over 1,000m high. Most of the route follows the stream toward the campsite. Along the way, hikers pass the upland fields of the Raglai people. One local specialty in Ta Giang is the solitary banana, a plant that grows alone throughout its life cycle.

Anyone who sets foot in Ta Giang is struck by the openness of its nature. The space feels vast and endless. On both sides, tall forests rise straight up like natural walls. In the middle is a shallow stream, edged by grey stone banks. From a distance, the terrain looks like a trough, drawing strong winds over the stream.

After several stream crossings, the remaining route is not too steep, but it is rocky and full of gravel. The deeper you go into the forest, the larger the rocks become. The forest stream carries a beautiful jade-green color.

Once you leave the forest, a wide grassland welcomes you. The campsite is very close now.

Nha Cua Rung, the thousand-star campsite in Ta Giang:

Set on an open hill near the stream, Nha Cua Rung is To Ong’s exclusive campsite. From the camp, you can take in the wide landscape around you: high hills veiled by morning mist, and part of the stream with bright white stones. The sound of the water echoes like a mountain symphony.

A table and chairs with electric lighting create a place for shared activities and meals. The highlight is the comfortable restroom area, designed to make the experience more relaxing.

Experiences not to miss at the Ta Giang campsite:

There are two moments at the campsite you should not miss when hiking Ta Giang:

The first is the evening gathering at Nha Cua Rung. When the surrounding landscape falls into quiet darkness, Nha Cua Rung still glows. Not only from electric lights or firelight, but also from like-minded people coming together. Around a fragrant BBQ meal, laughter, conversation, music, and singing fill the night. Above, countless stars replace city lights, helping illuminate the dark sky over Ta Giang.

The second is sunrise. Early in the morning, the mountains and forest are wrapped in mist. The sun has not yet appeared, so try to wake up early. Starting the day early and breathing in the fresh air can give you energy for the journey ahead. To Ong prepares some stretching exercises for you, so take them seriously because there is still a hike back to complete. For an empty stomach, there is a hot bowl of macaroni. Imagine enjoying a steaming bowl in the cool morning air of Ta Giang. It is hard to ask for more.
