A Brief Look at Ta Giang

Ta Giang is a small hamlet in Thanh Son Commune, Khanh Son District, Khanh Hoa Province. It is home to the Raglai people and the resonant sound of the Chapi instrument. Green forests, cool streams, and open winds are defining features of this land.

The beauty of Ta Giang comes from a blend of grandeur and poetry. There are towering mountains and deep green forests. There is a gently winding stream, accompanied by the clearest sounds of nature.

Unique Experiences in Ta Giang

Spend 2 days away from electronic devices

As a remote mountain area, Ta Giang has no phone signal throughout the journey. This is your chance to fully sink into beautiful nature without worrying about distractions. Slow down, become more grounded, and let the Ta Giang hiking trip be a time to rest and recharge before returning to everyday life.

Admire the harmony between Ta Giang’s nature and people

You truly have to go to understand the full beauty of Ta Giang. There, nature and people are interwoven in remarkable harmony. You will pass through pristine landscapes with ancient forests, poetic bamboo groves, bare hills of yellow grass, and fresh green tones. You will also pass simple wooden houses on the mountainside, coffee fields, and banana groves of the Raglai people. Throughout the journey, the sound of the stream is always nearby, echoing like a companion.

Walk upstream along the dry streambed

It is called walking upstream because Ta Giang is a journey from lower ground to higher ground. Crossing the stream many times may make it feel as if there are many streams here. In fact, there is only one. The stream that winds through this land is a small branch of the Khe River. For generations, this water source has sustained local communities.

The stream is shallow and clear, so you can easily see the stones at the bottom. On both sides are gray stone banks, once used as a trading route by the Raglai people. Along the stream, the forest rises high like two strong walls.

Enjoy lunch beside a cool stream

At noon, bright sunlight slips through the green canopy and reaches the water. The forest stream takes on a rare jade-green color. The boulders are larger too, wide enough for you to lie down and rest on them. In the cool midday forest, there are few things better than enjoying a simple meal of bamboo-tube rice and fragrant grilled meat beside the stream.
