Tả Liên Sơn cũng là một địa điểm trekking

Ta Lien Son – a fairy-tale forest made for trekking

Ta Lien Son is located in Ta Leng Commune, Tam Duong District. This mountain is also known as Co Trau Mountain. At 2,993m, the peak has the sturdy presence of a farmer’s companion and stands tall, solid, and proud in the forests of Northwest Vietnam. From the summit, you can see the whole city of Lai Chau down in the valley.

This mountain has a pristine beauty shaped by complex terrain and cold weather. Its fairy-tale-like forests are sure to leave you amazed. Each time of year, the mountain takes on a new appearance. Do you want to immerse yourself in the golden colors of ripe rice and maple leaves in late September and early November? Go cloud hunting on the summit at the end of the year? Wander through white-blooming tea flower forests in January and February? Or admire colorful rhododendrons in March and April? Every season is wonderful, with natural scenery that is both grand and poetic. With Tổ Ong, the 2-day, 1-night trekking route covers 11km, just enough for you to discover the beauty of Ta Lien.

Ky Quan San – a white cloud-hunting paradise for trekkers

In Sin Suoi Ho Commune, Phong Tho District, Ky Quan San Peak rises proudly into the blue sky. The peak is also known as Bach Moc Luong Tu because many people confuse it with Bach Moc Luong Peak in China. With a moderate level of difficulty, Ky Quan San is an ideal place to challenge yourself.

At 3,045m, this is a rare cloud-hunting paradise with an exciting route to explore. The trek begins from Sang Ma Sao Commune in Lao Cai and stretches 26km to the summit. Along the way, you can admire terraced rice fields, bonsai-like forests, bamboo groves, and the moment where sky and earth seem to meet on the dinosaur spine ridge.

To hunt clouds on the 4th highest mountain in Vietnam, you should trek from November to February. During this period, temperatures range from 3 to 20 degrees Celsius, creating ideal conditions for cloud clusters to form.

Putaleng – a trekking destination for brave souls

The third roof of Indochina is called Putaleng. At 3,096m, this is an ideal mountain for adventurous spirits. Located in Ta Leng Commune, Tam Duong District, it has some of the most challenging terrain in Vietnam. Part of the Hoang Lien Son range, this mountain has many steep slopes and large streams. Combined with cold weather, Putaleng offers a beauty that is both majestic and poetic.

Putaleng’s plant life is extremely diverse and has preserved a rare primeval feel. The area is mainly covered by evergreen forests. Trekkers may find themselves wide-eyed at the many strange shapes in Putaleng’s old forest. Twisted tree trunks covered in moss and lichen create a mysterious scene. The mountain is also home to vast rhododendron forests. Rhododendrons bloom from October to the following April, but not all at once. They begin from the foot of the mountain and gradually bloom toward the summit. For that reason, March is when the flowers are at their most beautiful.

The Putaleng trek takes 3 days and 2 nights to complete. The total route is up to 34km with many turns, so you should go with an experienced team such as Tổ Ong.
